VietNamNet Bridge – Woolen knitting artisans in Da Lat have put together pieces of woolen cloth to make the largest woolen blanket in the world.
This blanket is made in response to a French/Vietnam challenge in June 2009 to raise funds for Agent Orange child victims in Vietnam.
Anna Owhadi Richardson, chairwoman of the Association of Da Lat’s Friends in the Footprint of Dr. Yersin, said that women in Montpellier and Da Lat have knitted a 200sq.m woolen blanket and this blanket will continue to grow.
This huge blanket will be introduced on the occasion of the Hanoi’s 1000th great anniversary, October 10, 2010.
